The operation of an MVR steam compressor follows these steps:

Steam Recovery: The process begins with the extraction of low-pressure steam, often regarded as a waste product, from the system.

Compression: A mechanical compressor increases the steam’s pressure and temperature, thereby enhancing its energy potential.

Reuse: Finally, the high-pressure steam re-enters the system as a heat source, replacing or supplementing boiler-generated steam.

Types Of MVR Compressors

Industries employ different types of MVR compressors depending on the application requirements:

1. Centrifugal Compressors

Features: High efficiency, reliability, and capacity.

Applications: Ideal for large-scale operations and processes requiring high volumes but low temperature rise of steam.

Advantages: Durable and capable of handling continuous, demanding operations.
