The characteristics of roots vacuum pump

This pressure range is exactly between the oil-sealed mechanical vacuum pump and the diffusion pump. For this reason, it is often connected in series between a diffusion pump and an oil-sealed mechanical vacuum pump to increase the pumping capacity in the intermediate pressure range.
