The working principle of the roots blower is to compress and transport the gas through the relative movement of two leaf-shaped rotors in the cylinder. Specifically, the two rotors are meshed by the synchronous gears at the end of the rotor shaft, and the recessed surface on the rotor and the inner wall of the cylinder together form the working volume. During the rotor rotation, the gas is sucked from the suction port into the working volume, and as the rotor moves near the exhaust port, the high-pressure gas backflow increases the pressure in the working volume, and finally the gas is delivered to the exhaust channel.
