Construction features

GREENTECH rotary lobe blowers and vacuum cleaners intended for air compression are machines with the following construction features:

receiver (stator, bottoms and crankcases) in grey cast iron, rotating pistons in steel, in a single piece with the shaft or, for larger models, in grey cast iron and keyed to steel shafts;

Synchronism gears consisting of a pair of alloy steel toothed wheels, with a rim involute tooth profile and case-hardened and ground surface.

The toothed wheels and shaft support bearings are housed in separate chambers from the compression chamber; in these chambers there is an oil bath necessary for lubrication and the removal of the heat produced by the friction between the sliding parts. Lubrication is carried out "by splashing" by means of oil spreading discs mounted on the drive shaft.

To ensure that the process air is not contaminated by lubrication oil, labyrinth seals with elastic segments are provided on the shafts.
